Elements 11: can't get Canon 9950 scanner to work

please create support in elements 11 editing fof a canon 9950 scanner,which was a very expensive scanner for a home user.very much appreciated itf you could fix it.regards,David.

Elements has scanner support built-in, but that does require that working drivers for your particular scanner are installed on the system.

Which OS version are you using?

Have you installed the drivers for the scanner?

Windows 7 64 bit,yes all drivers from canon for this scanner have been downloaded.Regards David.

it opens in organizer but not in photo editor,after clicking on wia.Regards.David.

Did you restart the editor after installing the drivers?

Yes,still won't open cannon 9950f scanner in photo editor,even after canon updates.Regards.David.

Are the drivers TWAIN? If so, you'll have to install the TWAIN plug-in for Elements (which is included): TWAIN is not installed with Photoshop Elements 11

If it's on Windows, it should have a WIA driver and just work in both apps.
