I have had Lightroom 3 installed on my tower computer and have had problems with the capture times of imported files being changed in the import process. Now, with the same DVD program disk being used to install the program on my new laptop computer, the problem seem even worse. At least 1/3rd of imports are being corrupted by Lightroom upon import into the Catalog. Any suggestions?

PROBLEM SELF-SOLVED:
Fortunately a re-install of the Lightroom program from the disk... (choosing to "Repair" the existing program rather than remove it)...solved the problem of corrupted capture times nicely.
I am aware of the "Manual Changing" option that Lightroom provides, where you can correct the date-time of a given file, which would have been acceptable for one or 2, rather than many files. That can be a very handy feature when you want to force a desired sort order to your group of photos, even outside the LTRM program. Making the capture time of a given photo just slightly later than the one before it in a Collection will keep those 2 images side-by-side nicely--even when they are exported to a thumb drive. Thank you Adobe Lightroom.
