I'm trying to pick a colour using the eyedropper / color picker in Photoshops Elements 10, moved the box down to find the right spot, and it's suddenly disappeared. All I have is the color picker as a cursor, and now I can't do anything else, and I can't find the box to close it - how can I get it back please?

ETA: No idea how it happened, but I've got it back, so no responses required now, thank you.

When Photoshop shows a dialog or palette, it tries to make sure it is on a visible display -- even if you've moved it off.

Thank you for coming back to me - where do you think I should have tried looking, for future reference, please? I had thought the same thing, but just couldn't work out where to look.

If you dragged the dialog off the screen, just try hitting escape to close it, then open it again and Photoshop should force it on screen. Worst case you may have to reset the Photoshop Preferences.

Thank you very much - I shall bear it in mind if I manage to make that mistake again! I minimised the page while researching the answer here, and it reappeared when I expanded it again. Typical :)
