PHOTOSHOP How do you fix unwanted text movement in when you save a file as a PDF?

Alright, I've tried it all...now I have to turn this over to anyone else that may have had this problem before. This is the first time it's happened to me and wouldn't you know that it winds up being one of my clients that is trying to troubleshoot with me all the way from Australia. On my side, I don't see the change. They are saying that the text, ONLY the capitol letters, are shifting upwards enough to overlap the stroke of color that was set around it in Photoshop CS. As far as I know, this isn't normal and I need help understanding what is happening and how to fix it as soon as possible.

I've already updated all of my software and tried saving everything over again thinking maybe it was a glitch in my software but, like I said, I don't see the change on my end. I don't have a printer either so I cant really see what they are saying. On their end, they've brought it to a local print shop and they were seeing the same problem that they were talking about at their shop.

Is there any way to fix this problem so it doesn't happen again? Any information will be appreciated.

Thank you for all of your time,
Kelly

Hi Kelly,

Can you send me a copy of the PSD and PDF files for I can try them out myself?  I will follow up with an email to you.

Thanks,
David

Howdy Kathy,

Almost
certainly, this is a question of fonts.  You have a specific one on your
machine but your customer does not.  Acrobat does the best it can to
render the font, but gets it wrong.

Fear not, however, as there
is a simple solution!

Before you make the PDF,
simply rasterize the PSD file.  That way, you’re dealing with pixel data
rather than vector fonts.  Then, it doesn’t make a difference who has
what, it will display perfectly.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
David
