Started using LR on my IPAD Pro linked to my IMAC.... I am a wedding photographer. Wedding I am processing has 1500 images. So I work on processing with my IPAD Pro.... maybe work on 100 images then leave to do other things. When I come back I wish there was a way for me to pick up where I left off. I need to search for the last image I worked on. I have been using star rating to help find the last image I worked on but it does not work that well. When I edit on my IMAC in LRC and open up LR it goes right to the image I was editing last. Wish LR on my IPAD would do the same. Of have some sort of Highlighting feature that will show the image I was working on when I am in the pane where you view all the images. :-)

There is a need for more sorting and filtering options. Sorting by last update time stamp would be a no brainer.

I may be missing something but Lightroom always opens wherever you left it.

Would you list the steps you took to create this issue? Screenshots would help as well.

Hi Rick, problem was with lr on my iPad. Once I closed the app and restarted it was a pain to figure out where I left off.

Easiest way is to
1) Create a collection for your iPad editing. “Smith Wedding iPad edits”
2 Make a copy of the wedding photos into the new collection.
3 View the collection in grid view.
4 Click the “...” top right
5 Click Sort by
6 Click Modified Date, and sort newest to oldest.

You last edited photo with be at the top left.

You don’t have to create a second collection, but this way should keep your main collection sort order unaffected.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Return to last image when opening Lightroom mobile.

When opening Lightroom mobile it would be such a time saver, if it would open to the position / image you where at last!

Especially since Android closes Apps that have been in background to long.
