After 6 monthsof using lightroom suddenly it will not load images and gives an error as follows: some import operations were not performed. the following files were not imported because they could not be read. img_9895.cr2.. I cant figure out what or why something changed? This happens straight from the card reader and the camera
Thinking that something changed in my 5dmark 2 i used an old card with images and i have the same problem. images show up in the preveiw but will not download to the library. Obviously something changed in Lightroom, cant figure it out

If the error is only one file out fo many you are importing that file is likely corrupted, somehow.

If it is every file for an import then "could not be read" error during import indicates that the place you are trying to COPY TO is unreadable when LR tries read the images after they are copied.

This is usually not a LR problem, but a permissions problem, so check the destination location you have configured in LR on the right side of the Import panel, and check to make sure you have read-write permissions to that folder.

I'm having the same problem. Having been away for a week and tried to import new photos from a Nikon D7000 and Lumix LX5 into LR 4.3 when I returned.
Nothing doing!
LR also refuses to export images to Photomatix anymore!

Have checked permissions for destination, they seem ok.

This problem did not exist before I went away, LR was working normally.

Using brand new iMac and ML.
