HDR Pro Blowout

It appears the HDR Pro in my CS5 Version 12.1 x64 does not work properly. When I select the photos to merge into an HDR image, what I get (on default) is an image that is blown out, as if the computer took the brightest point of any of the images to be merged and used that exposure on the finished HDR. The resulting image bears no resemblance to the initial images and certainly is not creating an image within the highest and lowest values. I can send a screen shot if you explain to me how to do it.

I think we need a screen shot, and a description of the source images (Raw or jpeg, what sort of camera, a screen shot including thumbnails of the source photos, etc.).
