I have Photoshop CS4 installed on my MacBook (Intel Core 2 Duo) and the HDRMergeUI plugins were correctly installed in the Automate folder during the full installation. However, they are not showing at all in the Photoshop automate drop down menu. Can you help please..? Thank you.

They're actually 'scripts' not 'plug-ins.' You've confirmed the scripts installed Presets/Scripts folder?:

/Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS4/Presets/Scripts/Merge To HDR.jsx

/Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS4/Presets/Scripts/Stack Scripts Only/LatteUI.jsx

Thank you for your reply.

The installation was from disk and is also installed on my main iMac where it works perfectly. There is no 'preset' folder under Adobe Photoshop CS4 in Applications in my installation.

The plugin is at:
/Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS4/Plug-ins/Automate

The photomerge plugin is in the same location and works on the iMac but neither plugin appears in the Automate drop down menu on my MacBook.

As I say, the same pathway works perfectly on my iMac.

Should I uninstall then reinstall from the disk..?

Thank you for your time.

There is supposed to be a Presets folder right next to the Plug-Ins folder. If there is not, you've moved or deleted that folder and need to put it back where it belongs or reinstall the application to get the files.

Thanks for the reply.

I've not interfered with the installation in any way and have certainly not removed any folders.I'll go back to the installation disk and try again. Thanks.

It's odd though, that the presets folder is missing from both the iMac and MacBook installations, yet the photomerge and HDR plugins work fine on the iMac with the pathways I've indicated.

Thanks again for your help.

We're describing how the installer places the files. And you're telling us that you're missing an entire folder of content. Either something was done to that folder, or you're overlooking something important on your system.
