Having trouble transferring photoshopped photos to an external hard drive. Any reason they won't load unlike other photos that will?

Can you provide more details about what you are trying to achieve-

Are you moving a PSD file from internal to external in the Lr folder panel?
What do you mean by "they wont' load"?  Load where? Are you trying to Import?
What OS and Lightroom version number?

Thanks Robert, we had a fire in cd burner in our computer. They replaced it and Put in another hard drive. So there is two working hard drives. We have photoshop elements 12. Computer won't allow us to open up PS due to lack of space on either hard drives in computer. I can still access photos on original Hard drive. So we decided to clear both H/drives to see if that helps the situation. When exporting to an external hard drive. any photos that have been worked in PS show data not available unfortunately files were deleted to rubbish bin when my daughter was doing the exporting which means 100's plus photos of an o/seas trip will have to be restored. A huge retrieval job.. never had this problem in the past They were raw photos and after PS exported as JPEG. My camera is a Nikon d750. So files are big. I was told by a retail shop today to reload PS but that I don't think will help retrieving my photos. Any idea. Thanks Robert.
