Photoshop: Have Select and Mask import the selection made with basic select tools when opened

The new refine edge replacement feels powerful, but it has one major flaw: it makes the magic wand tool useless.

I use the magic wand tool when painting stylized images to very quickly select my flat areas to gradient shade. Problem is, the base magic wand tool always leaves a jagged edge. Without refine edge, it kills the "glossy" look.

I propose having the new, shiny tool open WITH the current selections already masked so I can do simple tasks with it as well as complex. I don't need a supercar's launch control to pick up milk three blocks away, you feel me? I just wanna turn the key and go.

You want to use the Magic Wand and refine it with Select and Mask? No problem. Select and Mask keeps that selection. If you want to see the marching ants, just use the appropriate preview mode from the dropdown menu in S&M.
