PHOTOSHOP Halftone Problem - need inverted image

When I use halfton pattern in bitmap mode. the black image get a haltone pattern of white circles, not of black, why this happens?

What version of Photoshop are you using?
How are you converting to bitmap?

The resulting halftone image will depend a lot on the input gray values.

Converting to a bitmap image keeps the lightness of your original image.
So you could invert the original, or the bitmap image.
