Hello Peter,

Thank you for writing the query. We have noted down your question and if feasible, we will try to incorporate this in our product for Windows platform as well. I will post an update here.

Thanks!
Nidhi Bhushan.

In other words, if enough users complain, maybe we will do something about it, but right now we will not put on our website that H.265 is not supported on Windows.

If feasible? WTF is that supposed to mean? I have searched Google for about 5 minutes and have ran across over 30 different posts about people complaining about this.

Hi. I recently bought Your package Adobe Photoshop Elements + Premiere Elements 2019 in order to have the possibility of editing videos from my Dji Mavic 2 Pro drone. There is a possibility of having a record in H.264 and H.265. The H.265 is needed to have the option to record video in 10bit H-log. Now I transferred the files to my computer with Windows...and disappointed...No support for H.265 in Windows version. WHY?! I paid for the package and I demand the possibility of editing videos in H.265 on my Adobe Elements 2019!

Forwarded your request to the concerned team member. My request is to wait until this year's release of Premiere Elements.

Nidhi Bhushan thank you for your response. I am not sure I can wait for much longer this year. Its August now in 1 hour 41 minutes! When in your opinion is this  years release likely to be  available in Australia? Thank you
Harold

I just switched from an iPhone 6 to and iPhone X and then discovered that I am no longer able to edit my iPhone videos in Abobe Premiere Elements.  I spent a lot of time searching on the internet to eventually discover (this was not easy) that the problem is Adobe which has not included the encoder for the Apple H.265 HEVC in premiere elements 2019 for Windows users.  I guess you people think that all Apple iPhone users have a MAC.  WRONG!!!!!!  Very frustrated that to use Premiere Elements I have to first do a file conversion.  I could see if this was some obscure video format but it is on millions if iPhones.  I agree with Mr. Harold Baggs comments, the capability needs to be added to Adobe Premiere Elements for Windows ASAP.  It is ridiculously that it does not support this format.  Very frustrated with Adobe.

I am mad at Apple for forcing these formats on us, and disgusted with Adobe that I can't simply upload them into Premiere Elements 14  on my PC as I could before with the older videos. Even the stills have the HEVC code. It sounds like Elements 2019 won't solve this problem either. So very disappointed and angry.

I have the same problem. I can reproduce the videos on windows but I cannot to do on premiere or organizer elements.. Samsung Note 9 uses this format too, so the problem isn't affecting only to Apple users.

When I bought Adobe premiere elements, no such restriction was mentioned. It's a bit like a fraud, really - bearing in mind that this codec is now widely used. Very disappointed !!

Very frustrated, I should have researched better before purchasing. Time to move to another video editor.

Totally agree with this. Rather than wasting money on the upgrade to the 2019 version, I'm moving to Magix Movie Edit pro which does offer support for H.265.

Hi,

2020 version of Premiere elements has HEVC support for Windows. You can give it a try using the trial version.

Also, you can find your videos faster with smart tags applied to them in this release.

For more details, check this https://www.adobe.com/in/products/photoshop-elements/whats-new.html

For any other suggestions, please let us know.

Regards,
Nidhi

False.
I changed from the 2019 version to the 2020 version just for that and I am sorry to tell you that with the 2020 version it does not work either. I fulfill all the requirements and with Elements I cannot edit or play the HEVC videos. The proof that the problem is Elements is that I can play the videos in Windows 10 with several players.
You can find a lot of posts in the forum taking about that.

Can you please try this:
Delete all the contents of the C:\users\[your name]\appdata\roaming\Adobe\Common folder (with Elements closed). The contents will be automatically rebuilt.

Let us know how it goes.

Nidhi
