Photoshop: Make Grids a per-document setting

As a web designer I set up a different grid (size) and different ruler origins for every project and layout. I would expect these settings to be saved within the document in order to have the right adjustments every time I work on the project, just the way this is the case with InDesign. Unfortunately though in Photoshop, grid sizes are saved in the program preferences and ruler origins aren't saved at all. This forces me to readjust these settings every time I switch between projects. If there are reasons why these settings cannot be included within the document, it would be at least useful to be able to save these settings the way one can save brush settings or color palettes.
