What are your tips and tricks for green 'spill' removal / mapping in Photoshop CC?
I can isolate the figure from the background no problem, but there is always some green spill onto the lower half of the body and in the hair that is ignored by the color range mapping / masking techniques typically used (and discussed in some older Adobe tutorials).
The only solution I have found so far is hand painting using an ad hoc color selection until it looks believable.
Seems that areas with chroma key hue should be given partial transparency and then the new background would show through as if reflected.

I also remember one tutorial on the web suggesting merely converting the spill area to monochrome, but that would only work in specific cases (grey background / illumination).

Usually the number one recommendation is buy doe expensive third party plug-in but I am not interested in that solution especially when some do not do any better of a job than native photoshop CC and you still have to paint it all out.
