Lightroom Classic: Graduated filter flips in preset

I have several presets that include graduated filters. The presets were created from and used on vertical images and are drawn from the bottom up. The problem is the graduated filter will flip, top to bottom, usually after closing and restarting Lightroom Classic. This has been happening since the last four or five Lightroom updates so it is not a new issue.
If anyone has a solution I would love to hear it, otherwise this is a bug report.
Thanks

I would bet on a corrupt presets. Does it happen on newly created presets or just those that have been around for while?

I've reset old presets and created new presets. They act the same.

Next in line is a corrupt preference file.

A Preference File will survive a Lightroom uninstall/reinstall. Sometimes weird behavior is corrected/cured by resetting the preferences.

Reset Procedure:

1. Close Lightroom.
2. Hold down [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] while restarting Lightroom.
3. Overwrite the Preferences when prompted by the dialog.
4. Close Lightroom.
5. Restart Lightroom.

Does the behavior continue after resetting the preferences?

Are some of these photos originals from the camera and others edited in Photoshop (or another external program)?

Alternatively, are some of the photos raw and others non-raw (JPEG, TIFF, PSD)?

Thanks for the suggestions. I have reset the preferences but I need to work with Lightroom for a while to see if the presets stay unchanged. Although the problem occurs frequently it is somewhat random. I will post my findings in a few days, hopefully that resetting was the solution.

And all the files are raw converted to DNG in Lightroom.

Thank You Rikk and John.

Good news, the suggestion to reset the preferences has corrected the problem.
