An intermittent problem, I have recently started using the graduated filter, which works well, and then I will want to view the results in full screen, from the Library module this is not a problem but from Develope it will take an age to display and then will lock up  the screen and eventually lightroom will crash. Using the same file and after deleting the gradual filter lightroom will work as normal, I have previously seen this happen also on my laptop, I wondered if anyone has knowledge of similar and if there is a way around the issue, I have not mentioned my computer specs here but suffice to say that is not the problem.

Hi Kelvin,

Sorry for the crashes in Lightroom when using graduated filters.

Which version of Lightroom are you using?
Are you on Mac or Windows?

Does it help if you disable the GPU in Lightroom or update your graphics drivers?
Troubleshoot the GPU

Let us know how that goes.
Regards
Pete

Using cc with latest update, windows 10, nvidia GEFORCE GTX 1070, graphics card, 16 gig Ram, I had tried to update the GPU earlier via device manager which told me it was up to date, but just as precaution checked the manufacturers web site and found that it wasnt, now updated and seems to be working perfectly, (fingers x'd touch wood etc.), but I have been here a few times before and the problem then returns, but for now all seems well, thanks for your speedy response.

Awesome -- thanks for the update Kelvin. Most of the Develop module is enhanced by the GPU, so many crashes or issues you see in Develop can be fixed with GPU troubleshooting. Glad that did the trick for you.

Let us know if you run into further issue!
