Gradient Layer Effect - Renders CS6 File Differently

Our team recently upgraded from CS6 to CC.  I was recently updating an image from one of our source files, and noticed after I made my adjustments, and compared the original to my new export, the gradients in the file were rendering differently than they did in CS6.  This is a huge problem for us because we have numerous source files which are used to updated content or fix visual bugs, and in this case we had already created and shipped a number of images with the incorrect gradients applied.  I would expect gradient layer effects to behave the same way in both editions of Photoshop, and now I've got considerable busy work to correct the issue in the affected files.

Note: I was unable to adjust the gradient in CC to produce a similar result as CS6 (scale, rotation, offset etc.).  I'm having to open the source files in CS6 and flatten the gradients so that they appear identical in CC (not ideal).

A fix for this would be greatly appreciated!
