Camera Raw/Lightroom: Google Pixel 4 self camera JPEG is reversed left-for-right

I took some DNG+JPEG selfie shots with the Google Pixel 4. The DNGs were oriented correctly, but the JPEGs were mirror images in LR Classic 8.x.

Hi Stephen,

Could you share sample set of images to keniya AT adobe DOT com to help us reproduce this?

Thanks,

Per Jeff Davis comment below and a new test, I'm thinking it was more a hiccup than a problem. Let me know if you still want sample files, though.

Stephen, my understanding is that Pixel 4 automatically mirrors selfie photos. I seem to recall that there is an option to disable this in the Camera app. I think what is happening here is that the RAW photo is what the camera is actually capturing and the JPEG is being flipped by the Pixel Camera software before it gets to Lightroom.

I hadn't toggled that option to my knowledge, and hadn't had the problem in the past. However, for a separate reason I had to factory reset my Pixel 4, and I just tried a new batch of selfie shots that showed no problems. So I'm guessing one way or another it was a transient problem.
