Going from lightroom to photoshop has stopped working all of a sudden.

I have been using lightroom to edit and then using the "edit in" photoshop to take my image into photoshop. Now when I right click- the option is there, but it is not highligted, so it does nothing when I click on it. I can't take the image into photoshop at all. It worked a few hours before. I'm trying to finish editing a photoshoot and I am stuck. Thanks for any help! (It is photoshop )

First thing to do is Reboot your computer and test. Try opening PS first then try the Edit In option in LR.

When I asked for Exactly the versions of both PS and LR I didn't mean the generic CC 2015. In Help >  About you can find the Exact Version numbers.

IIt only says Lightroom cc 2015. I pay for it monthly in A bundle with Lightroom from Adobe. I'm not sure how to find anymore info on the system info. It is the creative cloud photography plan.

You can see the exact version of LR here in the Help > System Info window:

Knowing the exact version could be important, since there's a bug with invoking Photoshop in one particular version of LR.

"It is 2015.4"

Normally, we'd recommend that you update to the latest version, 2015.7.  But in this case, I suggest not -- 2015.7 has a bug with Edit In Photoshop.  Since you're not running 2015.7, we now know that you're issue is different.  But I don't have any more suggestions, perhaps Just Shot Me does.

Do you use the Creative Cloud desktop app? Is it installed on your system?
You are at least 3 versions behind.
The bug John is referring to is when selecting Open photos as Layers in PS not the Edit In.
Your problem isn't that. Somehow your system, along with LR, has lost track that PS is installed on your system.
Can you actually open PS on your system?

The original 2015.7 bug report is about Edit In > Open As Layers, Merge To Panorama, and Merge To HDR.  But one person in that report also said that Open As Smart Object didn't work, and others in the user-to-user forum have reported that Edit In Adobe Photoshop didn't work unless Photoshop was manually started first.

As I mentioned, Christal's problem likely isn't this bug, but for another reason: Christal's menu command is greying out, whereas it isn't for the others.  Regardless, it could be confusing to do an upgrade in this instance, replacing one problem with Edit In with another.
