Using the Layers Panel, one can disable/enable each different Layer Style option - Drop Shadow, Outer Glow, etc. He can also disable ALL Styles.

Why not give the Layer Style dialogue the same ability? I often enter a layer's Layer Style dialogue with it's styles being turned off. I have to exit Layer Styles, turn styles back on with using the Layers Panel and then go back into the Layer Style dialogue to continue work. A little clunky.

"Enabled" option added:

Users can disable/enable individual styles in both the Layers Panel and Layer Style dialogue. Why not be able to disable ALL style in both places as well.

If this was implemented, and the "Enabled" option (referencing to my mockup above) was UNCHECKED all individual styles' checkboxes ought to use their ghosted state, but still be clickable/toggleable. Meaning that, when Enabled is unchecked (and all styles are effectively disabled from affecting the respective layer) they should visually reinforce the fact that they are disabled -BUT- remain editable so any modifications made while disabled could be seen once re-enabled.
