LIGHTROOM CC - Geotagging Photos Temperamental. Geotagging Multiple Photos Even More So.

In the map module, if I select a photo and right click the map, sometimes the menu with "Add GPS Co-ordinates to selected photos" appears as it should, though more often than not it will appear in the bottom left of the screen or simply not at all. It seems to be the third case more often if I select multiple photos.
This occurred before the most recent update. Until just now I thought that this problem only happened when I had loaded a tracklog, and was fixed by clearing the tracklog. However it is happening currently and I have not been using tracklogs.

UPDATE:

I now realise that the context menu fails to appear only when I click on symbols on the map (mainly the ones in circles such as park symbols, museums, banks but also some others). This should not happen as there is no separate context menu for those areas of the map.
However I cannot work out any particular reason why the context menu appears (much more often than not) in the bottom left corner of the screen rather than where I click on the map.
I was mistaken in thinking that the problem is worse when multiple photos are selected. This was simply because I was trying to tag some multiple photos on a symbol on the map.
