I used the FX bevel along with the Freeform Pen tool option with CS5, but with CS6, the ability retain the FX for each new pen Layer has disappeared. I wish I could get this re-implemented. Here is a video I created using this tool and process - https://vimeo.com/44347227

The is no longer available in CS6

You can still apply the bevel style to shape layers, just as in CS5.

What changed is that styles are not *always* applied to shape layers, but must be applied afterward.

If you look at my video I posted, I often rely on the way it was applied automatically to each new shape. If there is any way to get that back in there, it would allow me to upgrade.

There is no simple way to get that back.
The "not so simple" method involves scripting and event based scripts.

...well that's a huge disappointment. Is there anyone I can email and send a formal request to? I was on the beta group, but didn't ave time to respond until it was too late. .. man, what a bummer.

We had a lot of requests to not automatically apply styles, it confused many people.

Well that's too bad for me. I don't see how its confusing to others..

Obviously, the best solution in my world, would be to have a on/off switch that I could "apply to consecutive layers"

Again, If you watch the video I posted, you'll see that it's an incredibly powerful tool for Photoshop illustration etc. I know a bunch of people that are going to be very disappointed that this option has been removed because it confused some graphic artist making webpage buttons. ;(

Just to let you know, In PS5.5, I used this option often for creating environment backgrounds in the academy award winning movie Hugo. As a supervisor, I'm going to have to recommend that our studio stays with PS5.5 in the future just for this option.

..It depresses me, because other than this, I love PS6
