Photoshop: Freeze in drawing process (Mac OS | Wacom)

I'm currently experiencing a function freeze whenever I work on big files with a few layers and high res. This means I usually get to about 35 brush strokes, then photoshop no longer "does anything", meaning I can click, cut, erase, draw on the canvas but it wont show. I can save the file and upon re-opening none of the moves done during the "freeze" will show up. Currently this means closing and reopening photoshop regularely, which is annoying. My old photoshop on PC never did this, its only with Mac that I experience this- and only on my desk Mac. My Mac Air works fine with photoshop. I'm using a Wacom tablet to draw.

What version of Photoshop are you running? What version of Mac OS are you running on your desktop Mac? If you don't know for sure, It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Directions for sharing your system info from Photoshop:
