Fullscreen Mode bug in Version 2015.10.1 with macOS Sierra

My Adobe Lightroom seems to be stuck in a weird mix of fullscreen and non-fullscreen mode. I can only put in fullscreen mode via Mission Control and dragging and dropping it as a new space. When in fullscreen there is a black space/bar on the bottom of the screen without any function.
When not in fullscreen mode I can't access the red/yellow/green buttons on the top of the window. I also can't resize the window, which leaves me stuck with a pseudo-fullscreen window.
Splitview also doesn't work.
This happens on both my late 2016 MacBook Pro and my 2011 iMac.

this is in full screen. I captured the whole screen.

this is in window mode. you can't see the cursor since macOS cuts that out, but I can't access the three colored buttons on top of the window, neither can I resize or move the window.

There are 2 conflicting full screen modes you have going on there.

You've got the OS full screen, from the green window button, and you've got Lightroom's own full screen with menubar mode from Window menu > Screen Mode > Full Screen with Menubar. Pick one or the other.

thanks. My mistake then, although highly unintuitive.
