During the Canada Games we had to FTP our photos to the Games site. The SDK FTP Plugin worked really well and most of the Lightroom users were using it. I was very pleased to find out the SDK kit works with both Mac OS X and Win 7 even though the SDK page says it is for Windows only.
Also I like how well metadata for titles and descriptions worked with Facebook, Flickr and Indesign. That saved a lot of duplicated effort.

Lots of people have problems with LrFtp too. Perhaps it depends on the quality of the internet connection or something. Every FTP'ing plugin I've used eventually crashes Lightroom if it runs long enough, and I've had clients with upload corruption issues as well. I'm recommending all companies or persons who care about plugin reliability and/or upload integrity to use an external app instead. Different peoples mileage obviously varies... - Glad it worked for you just the same...

Works flawlessly for me as well ... I have been using it since v2 ... I routinely upload to over a dozen FTP destinations using Export presets anywhere from a single images for specific assignments to several thousand images for large events ... All from the friendly confines of the LR interface ... Couldn't be easier ... I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome ...

It's in the SDK which is at http://www.adobe.com/devnet/photoshop....

Ignore that it says it's for Windows - that's a mistake - and it works in LR4. I just don't know why Adobe don't roll it into the core product.
