Are you able to launch Lr and PS CC without licensing issue? What happens if you launch PS CC ahead of time and then send photos from Lightroom to Photoshop. Does it work?

What was the error message that you get?

Thank you for your reply.
I purchased Lightroom 5 last year, and before purchasing  Photoshop CC am using a free trial to try it out. I have six days left on the trial. I was at a Photoshop course all day with my IMac using Lightroom and Photoshop, I am really getting the hang of Photoshop now and even more considering purchasing a plan. Unfortunately on arriving home, and after my tea, was unable to transfer photos from Lightroom to Photoshop by any means. So 1. was wondering if you had any ideas on fixing this, and 2. if I purchased a plan how would I contact Photoshop to fix it, if it happened again, or if there was similar problems.  I take it I would use this community page.

Tell us more about the problem you're having "transferring photos from Lightroom to Photoshop".  Do you get an error message, or what exactly happens?

Thank you for your quick reply.
Method 1 for taking photos from Lightroom 5 to Photoshop, click and drag. Nothing, no error messages.
2. Open new file from Photoshop,...... this just now seems to be working.! wasn't earlier...
3. Apart from finding out myself or from Photoshop course, is there any tutorials on say Adobe tv

Using open new file is not easy to find the photos I want to use, click and drag from Lightroom is far easier

In fact  now trying to use "open" on the page that starts on Photoshop is it very hard, still struggling, to find the photo I want to edit.

Why are you not selecting the photo in Lightroom, right-clicking and choosing Edit In > Photoshop?

Using "open" is not something I want to use as it is at best so far useless and frustrating.

I didn't suggest using Open (and why do you find it useless and frustrating?  it sounds like you just don't know how to use it)

I can open a file pictures, inside that open a file lightroom, then in that find a file 2015, but in that the picture I need is not there yet it is in a file 2015 12 13.

Very frustrating

What do you mean it "isn't there?"  If you're selecting a photo in Lightroom and the Edit in Photoshop option is greyed out, https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/edit-photoshop-command-missing-photoshop.html

It sounds like you haven't imported the photos into Lightroom yet.  Might I suggest you spend some time learning to use it, to save yourself some frustration?  There are some free video tutorials here: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/tutorials.html  or if you prefer text, my free Quick Start eBook http://www.lightroomqueen.com/quickstart

Unfortunately I can't read minds, so unless you slow down and step me through exactly what you're trying and what's  happening, I can't be of any additional help.

Right click edit, the box there is in light grey,i.e. does not work.
Maybe as you suggest I delete and reinstall Photoshop

Before you uninstall, just double check that you can edit that particular photo in the Develop module without an error message.  This is the confirm that the original file is not marked as missing.
