When you use this web page, http://www.photoshop.com/friends/find, to add friends, you are actually logging into your own email (not your friends) so that your contact book can be looked at and added to Photoshop.com. It doesn't matter what the domain on the email address of your friends is.

The question is whether you use Yahoo, Gmail, or Hot Mail. Otherwise, at the very bottom of this page you can just enter your friends email address.

This web page is for looking for friends who have already signed up for a Photoshop.com account. If you are entering an email address and it is not recognized, it's not about whether that friend is in your AOL address book, it's about whether they have been using Photoshop.com.

Similar to a Facebook or MySpace friend request, it doesn't work if they don't have an account.

If you are trying to share your images, slide shows, or galleries with friends, this is not the correct method.

When I go to the bottom of the page and put my friends e-mail address it tell me it's wrong and to try a different one. I checked the e-mail address and it's correct. Thank You, Joe

Then that is why you are getting an error. What you are trying to do is "friend" someone who doesn't have an account. Since that email address isn't used by anybody on Photoshop.com, you are being told that the email wrong and to try again. If you want to share your images or albums, you are not using the correct function to do so.
