You used to hold down the Shift+Option keys and it would it would limit the transform to vertical or horizontal movements, but that is not working any more. It seems some of the options you used to have with the Option Key are not working anymore ether.

I have to test if maby it's simply my keyboard that's broken. It seems to do strange things in other situations as well.

Howdy Randy,

What version of Photoshop are you using?  On which OS?  I just tried the latest version on both Mac and Win, but couldn't see a problem.  By chance, what language are you running for Photoshop, your OS, and your keyboard?  Are you using a tablet or other additional hardware?  How about a sidecar app that does screen captures or uses OPT?

Thanks,
David

Hi David,

Howdy Randy,

I've a feeling that ScreenFlow is stealing one or more of your keystrokes.  We've heard the complaints before.  I'd be willing to bet if you uninstalled the app and disconnected the hardware, the problem would disappear...

What ARE you seeing when you try this?  That might help us narrow down exactly what's been intercepted...

Thanks,
David

Free Transform + opt + shift has always scaled all sides from the center if dragging a corner or opposite from the sides, which is how it's currently working...

What happens when you do it?
