Free trial download of Lightroom causing computer factory reset

I am immensely dissatisfied with my downloads of Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop. I believe that the recent downloads of these free trial software programs are responsible for me having to take two computers to Geek Squad to get them completely wiped. I downloaded Adobe Lightroom and my PC became stuck in Automatic Repair mode. I had to have it factory reset and had to purchase a new hard drive. Then, I tried to download the software again on another computer, thinking the first time was a fluke, and the same thing happened again. That computer had to go back to factory reset. I am very wary of buying Adobe products now for my freelance photography.

Nothing about those Adobe applications could cause such an issue with your system.
If you downloaded them from somewhere else, then who knows what kind of malware may have been downloaded.
What you are describing sounds like the result of a bad system, or malware.
