Photoshop: Free, Limited version

I would really love, if Adobe could provide free, slightly limited versions of some of their products, mainly photoshop or animate. Photoshop is very expensive, so people who feel really passionate about design; be it video game artwork or normal art, either don't have the money, or are too young to pay that kind of money, they'd have to use GIMP or another alternative, or worse, illegally download photoshop. There are a lot more people who would go with pirating it instead of GIMP or an alternative. This is why I think Adobe should release a limited version of PS, I'd imagine a lot of people like me would be thankful!

Sure, there is CS2, but that is unsupported and buggy. I mean PS CC but with some of the more premium features, removed. I think it would be quite awesome if they'd do that.

Well I kind of had a limited version of CC in mind. Anyway, will adobe ever drop the silly membership plans for their software? Or is there a way you can pay once for a product, and have it for life?
