I have been looking for a option over many versions that would allow you to select a image and force it to last updated version.  Currently I see an image I changed on desktop still referencing the old SP then it updates then goes back to the old version when I open it for editing or zoom. Sorry if this is already possible and I have not found the option yet.

Maybe you should start by explaining which application you are referring to? From what you describe it sounds like maybe Lightroom Classic, and maybe updating not smart previews but normal previews.

Lightroom mobile on iPadOS. Strange I am sure I selected that in a option when posting. The workflow Went: Created a synced collection on classic, waited for it to sync and viewed it on the iPad. Spotted a change I wanted to make so went back to classic, edited ‘original’ a psd in Ps and saved the changes. Waited for sync to complete. Looked In Lightroom Mobile. File had changed in the thumbnail view but when opening it for a larger view and zooming it is not reflecting the change. If I could force an update of the smart preview it would be ok. I can’t how ever find a way to do this with out clearing all cache.
