Font Kerning/Tracking not behaving right?

Hi guys.
I was playing with fonts in Photoshop (20.0.4) when I noticed something weird.
If I change the color of a Paragraph Text, the kerning/tracking of the entire paragraph changes by itself.
I've already tried different fonts, same results.

steps to reproduce:
  • Open a new document
  • Insert a Paragraph with some text and commit
  • Change the color

Is it normal or is it a bug?

Howdy Morris,

I'm not seeing this on either Win or Mac and this is NOT correct behavior.  A color change should have no effect on leading or kerning.  Have you tried resetting the Character and Paragraph panels?  Trashing your preferences?  Testing the integrity of your system font cache (trashing prefs cleans the Adobe cache) -- steps here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-fonts-photoshop.html?

Thanks,
David

Thanks for the help. ;)

I fixed the issue clearing both System and Adobe font cache.
