Folder Names Not Sorted Correctly in Alphanumeric Order

I am using LR 6.9 on Windows.

I have a top-level folder full of folders with year as their name ("1966", "1971"... "2017"). I created a new folder named "201x" (as in, sometime in 2010-2019). For some reason, it sorted below "199x" and above "1966", "1971", and so on. See attached screenshot.

In most alphanumeric sorts, that would come out with numbers sorted above letters: Excel, Google Sheets, etc. That is, "1966", "1971"... "199x" and then onto "2017", "201x".

Spreadsheets are completely different animals.  You can't compare how they sort cell values to how your OS & file system sorts folders.  If you check the folder tree in Windows Explorer, I think you'll find they're sorted the same way as Lr.

If you change the folder name to something that has the same number of digits, you'll get the sort order you're looking for.  For example, change "199x" to something like "1990x" or "1990's" and "201x" to "2010x" or "2010's".
