Flickering directory window in Photoshop, corrupt Dreamweaver site cache

I use Photoshop 13.0.1 x64 and Dreamweaver CS6. They've both worked well for over a year but suddenly last week, trouble started I am upgrading a lot of graphics in my site's library from .gif to .png. For some reason, the Dreamweaver cache keeps becoming corrupted and it doesn't seem to matter if I run the "recreate site cache" function in Dreamweaver -- the problem remains. When the error occurs, Photoshop cannot open any files in the corrupted folder -- the directory window will be empty and just flickers on the screen. The folders before and after the corrupt one will be fine. I've made sure both programs are updated. Sometimes making a new folder and copying files to it fixes the problem, sometimes it does not and the new folder will be corrupted, just like the old one. Worst of all, even when I download all the files from the online version of my site, where I can see the files are correct, if I open a page in Dreamweaver, it shows me an older page -- not the one that was online and that I just downloaded. I'm baffled about where to go from here.

That sounds like something you should ask about in the dreamweaver forums.
