Flags, colors, and ratings bug

Seems like the newest version of LRC has an issue with choosing the Rated, Flagged, Color Label subpanel. First of all, LRC never remembers my UI state and always wipes out the previous visual state. In other words, if I have the stars, colors and flags out in the thin bar above the filmstrip, the next time I boot LRC, it's gone and set to Default (nothing).

Then, I choose "Rated" and I get the Color filter. It seems to be all backwards. Choosing "unrated" then shows the stars.

1 - You can use the lock icon in the top filter bar to keep the filter applied when moving through different folders, between Lr restarts, etc.  The "\" key toggles the filter bar on/off, if you're not seeing it.

2 - I never really cared for the limited and seemingly random way Lr displays the filter info at the bottom, so the only thing I ever go down there for is the on/off toggle on the far right, but if you click on the word "Filter", it will at least show you all the attributes.  If you click it again, it should collapse to just the default for that filter.

3 - Lastly, if things are still misbehaving, you may want to reset the filter presets by clicking the filter drop down in either the top or bottom of the screen and then clicking Restore Default Presets.

Hello, if I understand what is said in the article above, If the stars are not selected, they are invisible in the selection bar, it is simply that from the point of view of the interface, if not selected, these stars should be a little more contrasted in relation to the black frame of the interface so that they are still distinguishable for their possible selection, otherwise currently we do not know if we click on the first or the third star !, color codes could be too.

See in this screenshot, obviously it is not enough contrast to be distinguished!

Kanheiya, I do not understand your comment? What message should solve our worries! In an earlier version, it was the content of automatically completed location fields that were very little visible, Adobe has corrected the contrast ratio with the rest of the interface and now it's okay, we can finally read the content.

Hi,

I was referring to above solution provided by 'Tom Mickow". I am unable to reproduce this issue. Are you using Mac or Win?

After selecting Restore Default Presets, did it resolve the issue?

I see that you do not understand what I explain .... and maybe you read the articles too fast.

Here selection disabled, we do not distinguish the signs, the contrast is too low!

Actually Yves, I think you are the one going down a different path. I do not think the original post has anything to do with the lack of contrast in the Lr UI. That’s definitely an issue, but separate from what we’re talking about here.

Hi Yves,

Sorry, while replying missed your subsequent reply. Can you please share a Video of your problem ?

My understanding of your issue is when you are selecting Rated Filter, It is not showing stars in the filmstrip view and next time if you select Unrated then it is showing the Rating filter options.
Also the option is not persistent across Lr Classic sessions.

No, it is not that, simply that the options not chosen appear in clearer compared to the interface because currently they are simply not visible, It is necessary to pass on to finally see that they exist, it is like when you enter a dark room, if you do not add light you can not see anything. It is not at all the fact of selecting or not selecting a sorting option, it is only a problem of display contrast.

I agree with Yves.  The icons in the filter bar at the bottom right are hard to see.  This has been complained about many time over several years.
