Fix the pathetic Adobe online purchasing system

Here's my idea for a feature -- Fix your ordering system so it doesn't work like it was still 1985. You can't place an order on Adobe.com and receive a serial number like you can with every other software company in the world. I just cancelled two orders with Adobe because I waited and waited and waited for the activation codes. I've come to detest dealing with Adobe because of the unbelievably pathetic ordering system. Talk about negative branding experiences? I will go to great lengths to avoid using Adobe products..

Are you ordering a boxed product to be shipped to you? Or are you ordering a product to be delivered via download?

If you have ordered a physical boxed product, no serial number will be sent to you. Instead, your serial number is in the box with your product.

If you have ordered your product as a download, the serial number will be emailed to you (make sure the email isn't diverted by your spam filter). Additionally, you can look up your serial number in your account online.

Additionally, could you provide some details on your experience?

For example, "I ordered a download of Photoshop CS5 at 7 p.m. on Friday and by Monday at 8 a.m. I still had not been sent an email with my serial number".

Side note: In 1985, online shopping hadn't been invented yet. Everything was still handled by mail-order catalogs back then :) Maybe 1995?

Hi tetractys,

Sorry you had trouble.

It looks like you tried to use Paypal for your purchase. It appears that there may have been a hiccup with the Paypal authentication server at the time of your order. Jeff Wright from support opened a case and created a reply to you that you should have received several days ago.
