Can't belive Adobe dropped Fireworks from its lineup. I've used this program from version 1 (Macromedia) and I master it. I don't feel like learning another one, getting too old I guess.

And the combination of vector and bitmap manipulation is second to none.

Please Adobe, reconsider.

I feel your pain, but I newer went deeply into Fireworks, because I had the impression that functionality was duplicated in other programs, mainly Photoshop.

Another option could be integrating a better workflow into Photoshop or Illustrator. For some works that took 3 minutes in Fireworks you have to spend 30 on Illustrator adjusting points and aliasing, while grid work in Photoshop is not precise as it should be with vectors, to compete with Fireworks. "Pixel perfect" grid is not perfect at all :-\
