Finally I've decided to quit the Adobe ecosystem

Well well,

How to explain... Hard. Moreover I'm French and not so fluent.
I'm an Adobe user since 2011. And it is time to turn the last page and close the Adobe's book.

Back in adobe LR 4, I found a software really powerful and decided to buy iteration 5 and 6.
I was not happy to pay a monthly fee and decided not to use anymore LR and use both LR & photos from my Mac.
But LR 6 becomes more and more laggy.

I've decide to give a try at the new offer and accept to pay such an amount expecting some great achievement from Adobe.

Since February 2018, I've tried during days Lr CC and discover it some strange weakness (probably artificial thanks to complex brainstorming) , for example it can not handle video nor print.
I've switch to LR classic. But this revision is as laggy as LR 6. Unbelievable.

3 months later, I've decide to give a second chance to LR classic which is very fast.
But the more I use LR CC, the more I discover missing feature. (Offline search, keyword management, ...)

And every time somebody write on this forum explaining feature are missing, somebody comes and explain we are not using this software the way it is intended.
If we want to print we have to use LR Classic because we are part of another audience.

Customers are not listened. Adobe know our needs and workflow.
We have the choice between either a fat full feature software nobody knows if it will evolve or die.
And a cloud version with nothing available to manage our collection but IA we don't really need.

So after a whole 200€ (maybe 240$) spent for nothing, waiting feature than will probably never be implemented, I've decide to revoke my subscription.

(I'm trying but I don't know if it takes in account. It offer me 60 days and after refresh my account seems available and I can revoke again (adobe easy web site as always))

So , I will manage and develop my photo using Alien skin exposure 4 and one drive account to synchronize with a good backup solution.

Will keep on eye on adobe evolution, we never know.

Very well summarized.
I too am assessing other options.  If Adobe is unable or unwilling to fix what it has broken, it will be time to abandon it and move on to a platform that chooses to serve its customers.

Alien Exposure is not perfect but it costs me only a fraction of Adobe's fee (6 months with a 10% coupon).
And on drive sync is strong enough if I decide to manage on a second computer.

I will be able to catch a photo in a another computer or iPhone ti print if I want.

It is not a real cloud solution but it is fast and I will spend's time to follow my workflow (tag, startfodler) . Not lose time discover some missing feature or complaining anymore in this forum :)

I'mm waiting on the 2019release of ON1 Raw, whcih comes out next month.  If their AI-driven migration works as advertised and brings along my collections, keywords, and edits, then I'm outta here.

I don't know nor use this software. Any link to share?
Edit : ok found. Will have a look. For this price, I can test / change software every 5 months of adobe's fee :P

Maybe it's just me, but looking at that UI makes my eyes bleed :) Full disclosure, I'm a UI designer by trade, so I subconsciously pay attention to the logic, functionality, simplicity, implementation etc. Just like some photographers pixel peep to find any imperfections in an image.

ON1 UI is incomplete at the basic level to say the least. And by looking at the 2019 version casts I see that nothing has changed. There is no clear hierarchy of software, colour scheme does not help. Iconography is tragic. Buttons and tabs are not clear etc..

Sorry for the rant.. ))

Don't care. Will pay for that too. For the price of Alien exposure and on1 is the same price of 8 month of Lightroom CC with (I have to admit a good UI) but there is nothing to do but correction or put photo in a folder.

I agree with you and also look for alternatives. But hoping for big update and announcement during Adobe MAX conference, which is very soon!

We look forward this conference.
Don’t know when it happens?

All adobe have to do is to annonce.:
1) simplify his offer for human being.
I discover Adobe bridge and portfolio far too late.
2) add requested feature to LR CC or at least use embedded OS X functionality (share, print...)
3) listen to customers
