Filtering by 'Extension:' doesn't include all images

I've decided not to upload JPGs to the cloud so have been using Extension:jpg to filter them before deleting from my LR CC Desktop catalogue.  I'm using Extension:raw as a cross check, as I've mostly got raw+JPG pairs with some PSDs.

In some cases though not all images are shown when I filter on Extension:raw after deleting the JPGs.  For example, for one date I've got 13 images but only 10 are displayed.  In Info, all show as .RAF files and they look identical on disk - I can't see any difference in the 3 that are excluded from the filter.

Not being able to rely on the Extension: filter is slowing down my JPG culling.  Is this a bug?

Chris, I don't think "raw" is valid for the faceted search. If you click on All Photos then type (without the quotes) "extension:" but do not press enter/return you should get a list of all the extension types in the library. From there you can select individual extension types to see all the images with that extension.

Jim, thanks for the reply.  Sorry, I should have typed 'extension:raf' - I am waiting for the list of extensions to appear before selecting the Fuji raw format.

This only seems be a problem if I filter by extension for (some) individual months in By Date.  An example is Jan 2018 where there are 109 .raf files, but only 106 are selected

If I filter by a year or All Photos, all extensions add up to the total.

I've finished what I need to do, and there a plenty of ways to cross check, but this does seem to be an anomaly.

Presumably you've eyeballed all of those 109 images from your example, to make sure they are indeed all .raf files. No stacks involved?

Yes, I've identified the 'missing' three and checked their properties on disc. I've also deleted them from LR CC and reimported from my archive disc. Odd thing is that they show as raf in the grid view before I apply the filter. It's not really a problem now that I've deleted all the JPGs, but it is puzzling.
