I am using Photoshop CC. I have created a new photoshop file that is 300 dpi, 4.5" x 6.5", CMYK, 8-bit. The filter gallery is disabled. How can I enable the filter gallery or should I change my settings? I should be able to use the filter gallery if I am working with CMYK right?

Hi Kelly, some operations only work in specific color modes or bit depths. Many filters, including Filter Gallery, do not work in CMYK.

In general, all processing in Photoshop performs better with higher color fidelity in RGB. CMYK conversion should be done as a very last step after other editing and adjustments have been made.
