Filter by lens and file type

I would love to be able to filter by lens type, similar to how you can filter by camera body. Would make it easy to see all photos taken with my 50mm, 23mm, 90mm etc. at a glance. Would also want to be able to see my raw vs JPEG files without the cumbersome searching of “.jpeg” in the search bar.

Good try Michel, but this is a Lightroom CC request, not a Lightroom Classic one. So yes, good request.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Lightroom CC: Filter to only show raw images.

It would be great it there was a search filter to only show RAW images. I tend to only edit RAW photos, so I'd like to only see RAW photos in the view. I'd also like to have a album that has all the RAW images in it.

Apple Photos app can do this and it's very useful. Should just need to be added as an filter option.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Lightroom CC: Ability to filter by file type, aperture and focal length.

The new Lightroom CC is great, principally because it's so fast but there are a few things I've love to see (re)included, in particular filtering.

Filter by file type, so I can quickly access my RAWs.
Filter by focal length and aperture, so I can quickly select all images taken on a particular lens.

Thanks!

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Lightroom: Ability to Sort/Filter Images by File Type or Smart Folder for DNG Fil....

There are occasions in which I want to be able to sort or filter my images by file type, separating DNG from JPG. It would be convenient to have this as an option in the filter menu. Alternatively, even a smart folder for DNG files would be helpful.

Please add the ability to filter files by filetype (e.g., RAW, CR, NEF, JPG, etc), not just whether they are still images or videos.

In the search box, type lens: and a pop-up of lenses should appear for you to select. Likewise, type extension: to do by file type.

Make sure you have the latest version, because the pop-up feature Victoria mentioned was added recently.
