Lightroom Mobile: Ability to use the Filmstrip while accessing the flag/rate menu

I find the filmstrip very using when using Lightroom Mobile on my iPad Pro 12.9" to cull images.  I typically have 2-4 similar images to pick from and as I swipe left and right to review them I can refer to the filmstrip to see how many options have I have.

But when I swipe left to the bottom toolbar to access the flag/rate menu, the filmstrip disappears and doesn't give me the option to use it.

Can we please have the filmstrip option there?

I agree. It's tiresome to go back and forth constantly. You don't even have the ability to use an on-screen gesture to avoid opening the picks and labels section.

A workaround for now... hold your finger on the photo until the menu appears, and set the gestures to Speed Review Combined.  Then you can be on the Filmstrip view and use up/down gestures on the left side to apply flags and gestures on the right to apply stars. Also, turn on the Info overlay so you can see any existing flags/stars applied at a glance.

Thank you! Not the easiest to discover, but it works, so I'm a lot happier now.

Thanks Victoria.  I am aware of the Speed Review Combined.  It's helpful, but not quite what I want.  On my iPad Pro 12.9" I use my right thumb to both flag images and move forward and back.  I find that's the fastest method for me to cull images after a shoot.  Using both hands isn't as handy.

How do you turn on the info overlay??  I've wished for that for a long time.

Do you mean the two-finger tap on a photo?  That's handy for showing exposure and histogram information, but I don't see where that shows existing flag and rating info.

Unless I'm missing something, that doesn't show flags or star ratings.

I don't have the shipping build installed right now, but this screenshot was taken on 24/5/15 and it's still in the build I currently have installed.

Oh, perfect!  I didn't realize that you must tap on the overlay area rather than do a two-finger tap to cycle through options.

Now I'm able to see the flag and star ratings.  I've been wishing for that since I started using LR Mobile!

Thank you!

You're welcome. If you're missing any other tips and tricks, they're all in my Lightroom mobile book.

I can't see the filmstrip on Lightroom Mobile for the iPad Pro. What am I missing?
