files exported in random color space

Hi,

I few times we have run into an odd bug where one or a few exported files out of one hundred or more are in a color space that was not selected in the preset. Typically what has happened is when we export of folder full of RAW (Sony in the most recent case) files out as 16 bit per channel TIFFs in the sRGB color space at 300ppi (preset saved for this). The files will export as expected except for one or a few which are in the ProPhoto color space. Has anyone run into this bug? Any ideas for a solution?

Thanks,

David

I don't recall seeing any bug reports about this over the past many years either here or in the user-to-user forum. Unless you can provide a precise recipe or sample files for reproducing the problem reliabliy, I think it's unlikely Adobe will pay attention.

When the problem occurs and you re-export the problem photos, do they export correctly with sRGB the second time around or do they continue to export as ProPhoto?

I just tried a test export of 1370 raws as TIFF / 16-bit / sRGB / 300 ppi in my LR 8.4 / Mac OS 10.14.6, and they all exported as sRGB.  So the issue is clearly more complicated...

Thanks John. I'll have to dig into this more to see if I can narrow done a set of parameters that may cause it to happen. Thanks for testing!

I export 10's of thousands of raws every year and i've never seen this happen. But i'm also not exporting 16b tiff.
What happens when you re-export a problem image?
