In publish services, original filename and filename are confused for published files when in a publish collection a mixed set of images is present (unchanged and renamed files).

What is the correct way to report a bug?
I hope the above issue will be handled by Adobe when posted here.

What about a more detailed step-by-step report?

I'm having a hard time understanding how to reproduce the problem and what to expect. (I have to admit I do not use publish services myself.)

Hi. It''s easy:
Rename a File in Lightroom.
Create a publish service and add the file to it. Now publish.

Problem: The original filename is used for publishing.
Now try to configure the publish service to rename the file
to "filename" - not "original filename".
- It still uses the original filename.

That's the bug.

Please don't forget (see problem description)
to add files to the collection
where the filename hasn't been changed, too :-)

I cannot reproduce.

Had two files (renamed and not renamed) added to Flickr — the uploaded copy is always renamed to whatever I set in service's settings: filename or original filename.

Must be some little step I'm missing.

In the publish service's setup, review the file naming choice.

Sorry. I missed to mention that I use the standard
publish to harddisk service only.
Also - I noticed, the order is important.
Make the renamed files come after some unchanged ones,
within the publish service (order by filename, a to z).

Have you reviewed the file naming choices?

I started from zero now, - and voila! Problem solved, now.
Thanks for your support so far.

The published smart collection was originally created in LR 3,
and imported to LR 4. Maybe that's the problem.
In LR 3, there was no "original" filename, only the renamed one.

But his kind of bugtracking, I leave for the LR team
working on upgrade compatibility!

Thanks a lot, again!
