Lightroom 4: File renaming behavior has changed for the worse!

in Lightroom 4.1 for Mac, I used to update File Names using the Metadata pane. I would enter a new filename, and when I was done I used to be able to hit cmd+right to select the next image AND still be in text-entry mode in the File Name box (and the image's filename would be highlighted and ready for changing). Now, when I hit that shortcut it takes me to the next image, but it kicks me out of text-entry mode. This has slowed down my workflow considerably, because I have to click that field again to name the next image.

Can we go back to the way it was?

This is probably a defect. A similar report was reported here recently.

Sorry I couldn't find that existing thread. But I'm glad I'm not the only one. Hopefully will be addressed in an update.

This behavioral change may have been a side effect of a bug fix. Edit fields were staying open (or re-opening) when they should have stayed closed. Just guessing...
