In Photoshop CC, replace the file icon at the top of application window that used to appear in previous versions (and still does in Illustrator). It's a critical workflow element allowing drag-and-drop to Indesign, bypassing the Finder window.

The file icon is still there in Photoshop CC - it hasn't gone anywhere.

I am using tabbed mode in CC, but it used to be there in tabbed mode in CS5 and CS4. (see screenshot). I usually never leave tabbed mode since it keeps everything organized.

And that behavior hasn't changed a bit in CC.
You have the application frame on in CC, and off in CS6.

Nope. They are the same. You just forgot about changing it in CS6.
