Photoshop: File saving extremely slow in 20.0.2

Just updated to 20.0.2 and while it appears to have fixed the freeze on sleep problem, file saving is now extremely slow.

It makes no difference if it is a single layer photo or multiples of any type of layer.  Document size 208Mb and file type is TIFF. Compression is set to none

The document is slow to save from the very start of the saving process and what would take approx 1 second now takes up to 5 minutes.

No settings in Photoshop were changed between updating versions.

The hard drive is less than a year old and has over 1TB free space.  I use separate disks for application, data, scratch.

Have you tried moving your preferences folder to the desktop and start Photoshop with fresh prefs to see if that makes a difference?

That's very strange that Save is slow now. I have one other report on Mac that says Open is really slow after the update, but I'm not seeing a consistent pattern.

Thanks Jeffrey.

What I found so far...

I rolled back to CC2018 from CC2019 due to the freezing on sleep bug. I kept both versions installed. I then added the CC2018 as an external editor in LR to ensure that I could still edit and launch from Lightroom.

When the freeze bug was fixed, I updated to 20.0.2 and started editing again, opening from Lightroom.  I continued editing images that I had started in cc2018 and noticed that the save times were incredibly slow, very frustrating.

I then started editing new images (opening RAW files from lightroom) and noticed that the save times were incredibly fast.  I had changed no preferences/setting/locations etc.  I switched back to editing files I started in CC2018 and the slow saves returned.

When you open a RAW file from LR to edit in CC2018 (when as added as the 2nd external editor) LR first creates a TIOFF file, then opens that TIFF file in PS for editing.  When you do the same with CC2019 as primary external editor, the RAW file is opened in Photoshop.  When this happens, the saves are much faster.

Not sure if this makes for an LR or PS issue though it seem it may an LR problem.
