Photoshop: Ability to see the file name in Info panel

I've been a full-time retoucher for over 8 years. I just upgraded to CC2018. I like some of the changes that were made in this version, but there are just 2 simple things I would love to see in a later version of photoshop ( that I have been waiting on or years) that I think would probably be easy to implement.

The first is I would love to see a checkbox that allows the filename to be present in the info palate. For most of my career, I have worked on multiple images simultaneously in tabs within photoshop. Having 2 displays with the navigator and info palette on screen 2. Meanwhile working on the image on the main display in full screen. The problem is that anytime I need to refence a file name I have to leave full screen mode to see what image # I am working on.

The second thing I would love to see in a later version of photoshop is the ability to organize paths into groups, just like layers can be. Some of the document I am working on have a ton of paths! So this would make my life so much easier.

Obviously, everyone wants to see photoshop make better use of multicore CPU beyond 6 cores. but that is something for another day.

Thank you,
Kyle

Thanks for the suggestion.

You can vote for path grouping here:  Photoshop: Ability to organize Paths into Groups just like the Layers panel (Easier to track individual requests on individual posts for voting accuracy)

Thanks, I should have searched for that one separately. I will go vote over there now.

One vote per one year. It doesn't seem they will implement it, but I wish you my best.

The first request can be done before Adobe will do it on their own (by method I know), the second one can be done probably only by them.

Great Kukurykus, do you mind sharing how to go about doing that?

I just tested it in the most basic form to be sure it's how I imagined it, and I admit it works. It's not something you simply choose from avialable Ps options - but you can have when programming is involved what I did.

As it needs just little more work to adjust it for your exact expectation please contact me by regular Adobe Photoshop Forum, by sending message to Kukurykus.
