When fine tuning a Hue saturation by deciding the colour range ( ) It would be great to be able to move this "selection" to a normal selection for further refinement. Would love to have a button "selected colour range to selection" (possibly with the standard modifiers shift to add to the current selection alt to subtract from selectiono and shift-alt intersect wit hselection)

I'd love this feature (Using Elements 12). That would be a nice and smart solution to the lack of the 'select color range' feature.

Would be still nicer if available in 16 bits mode !
My workaround up to now in Elements is to create a mask;

- duplicate the target layer
- add a hue/sat adjustment layer, clipped to that duplicate, in difference mode
- use another clipped B to W gradient map layer to amplify and control the contrast

- Stamp visible (shortcut Shift Ctrl Alt E) to put the result in its own layer - will be used as a mask or transformed into a selection.
