This is for Bridge, for video users. Idea also applies to Prelude. If the bridge>batch rename>metadata function had video>start timecode as one of its options, one could use this to identify, organize and archive video clips in timecode order. (Most file-producing cameras just give useless sequential numbers to files. Not a lot of help when you're trying to find a particular clip.) This would be a very useful function. Bridge can do it easily by just adding that metadata type to the dropdown list. But it should be a function in Prelude as well, I think. Sure, you can sort by timecode in Prelude, but just try to go to your archive drive and pull out that one clip you need without loading everthing there, any editor can tell you......hope this finds some attention. Thanks.
